We Love Love!
Here at the Temple University Collaborative on Community Inclusion, we aim to promote community participation in all domains – many of which are skipped over or simply ignored for individuals with mental health challenges, like love and intimate relationships. We believe that intimacy and love are a major part of life and we want to give voice to people who have faced significant mental health issues to tell the world why these relationships are important to them, what has supported their relationship, and what challenges they have had to overcome.
We are looking for people with significant mental health challenges to respond, because opportunities in this domain of community participation are largely overlooked for people in this population. Our goal is to share these stories in a Valentine’s Day tribute to give voice to the importance of these relationships. By sharing your story you are agreeing to take part in this initiative!
You can help! Tell us your story about your significant other, your main squeeze, your boo – and tell us why this relationship is important to your mental health!
