Recruiting Individuals with Burn Injury as well as Caregivers and Nurses

 

 
 

The Model Systems Knowledge Translation Center (MSKTC) is recruiting individuals with burn injury (SCI) as well as their caregivers and nurses to participate in a research study.

Answers from the interviews will be used for research purposes to better understand:

  • their health information needs, and
  • their participation in other research studies.

Participants in this research study must meet the following criteria:

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Have access to and the ability to communicate over a phone
  • Speak English
  • Individuals with a burn injury must have been 16 years of age or older when the injury first occurred
  • Caregivers must have at least 3 years of experience as a non-paid caregiver to a family member or close friend with a burn injury
  • Nurses must have provided services and care to patients with burn injury in post-acute rehabilitation settings in the past 5 years and must have 5 or more years of experience treating these injuries
