REACH Transitions to CEO-Led Structure; Jenny Stonemeier Appointed Chief Executive Officer

Dallas, Texas — REACH, Inc., a Center for Independent Living serving North Texas and Southern Oklahoma, today announced the transition of Jenny Stonemeier from Executive Director to Chief Executive Officer and the implementation of a formal C-Suite leadership model.

The move reflects the organization’s growth in scale, funding, and multi-state responsibility.

Over the past three years, Stonemeier has led REACH through measurable expansion. The organization tripled its operating budget, strengthened financial controls, enhanced compliance practices, improved governance alignment, and broadened services across not just North Texas, but Southern Oklahoma, too. The shift to a CEO structure formalizes executive accountability as REACH continues operating at a larger and more complex level,

“The Board recognized that REACH is not the same organization it was three years ago,” said David J. Lunt, President of the REACH Board of Directors. “Growth brings greater responsibility. A CEO-led structure ensures clear authority, strong oversight, long term strategic vision, and disciplined leadership.”

The C-Suite framework establishes defined executive leadership across finance, operations, people, compliance, and strategy — aligning daily execution with long-term organizational strength.

“Jenny has guided REACH through significant transformation,” Lunt added. “She built the operational backbone that allows us to serve more people while maintaining integrity and transparency. This appointment reflects confidence in her leadership and the direction of the organization.”

As Chief Executive Officer, Stonemeier will continue advancing REACH’s work supporting people with disabilities, older adults, and Veterans, with a focus on growth, community partnerships, and sustained access to independent living services for our current and future consumers.

“People deserve systems that function properly,” said Stonemeier. “This leadership transition ensures REACH is structured to meet community needs with clarity, accountability, and long-term focus.”

REACH provides advocacy, independent living services, peer support, transition assistance, and community-based programming throughout the region.
