Announcing the Governor's Committee on People with Disabilities Meeting: October 24 and 25, 2017

The Governor's Committee on People with Disabilities will hold their quarterly business meeting on October 24 and 25, 2017, in Austin. In accordance with the Open Meetings Act, the meeting agendas are posted on the Secretary of State’s Texas Register website. This meeting will be held over two days, in different locations. The agendas are placed below for your convenience. This meeting is open to members of the public. Written comments may be submitted to the Committee in advance by emailing gcpd@gov.texas.gov.

Annual Lex Frieden Employment Awards

The winners of the 2017 Lex Frieden Employment Awards will be honored at a ceremony co-hosted by the Governor's Committee on People with Disabilities and the Austin Mayor's Committee for People with Disabilities. The ceremony will be held on October 24, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at the Wyndham Garden Hotel, Austin, Texas. The keynote speaker for this event will be Geronimo Rodriguez, Chief Advocacy Officer for Seton Healthcare Family and Providence Healthcare Network. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. with a free buffet beginning at 5:15 p.m.  Seating is limited.  To register for the award ceremony, visit LFEA Registration.
