Male Person with a Disability Needed for Video Production on Ending Sexual Abuse against People with Disabilities

Publication Date:
Jan 14 2020

My name is Leslie Myers, I am a senior program associate with the Vera Institute of Justice. I have been working on issues related to violence/abuse against people with disabilities for over 20 years. Vera Center on Vicimization & Safety is currently looking for individuals with disabilities who may want to be part of a video we are creating to bring awareness to the experiences of violence/abuse in the lives of self-advocates. We are limiting it to experiences of domestic and sexual violence, and we want to feature a male survivor and ensure diversity in the video. If you are a survivor, who has a support system, and are interested please contact me at lmyers@vera.org and we will set up a time to talk. We will be paying for your participation and covering any expenses incurred for travel, etc.
