Jewish Family Services of Greater Dallas provides kosher meal delivery.
It is available to anyone and is free to those who qualify for the DAAA grant. The meals are healthy, and there is no wait list. They are very helpful for someone who is unable to cook or returning from the hospital. The meals arrive frozen and are delivered each Tuesday. Breakfast items are also included as well as rice milk. Up to seven meals can be ordered, and delivery is within the following areas: McCallum, Mockingbird Lane, Greenville Avenue and Webb Chapel.
Our clinical social workers can help with the devastating effect social isolation has had on our older adults. Many do not always have support systems. Counseling can be virtual, or if someone prefers, over the phone. We will bill Medicare directly. If someone does not have Medicare, we charge on a sliding fee scale based on the ability to pay.
If you know of anyone who could be helped by these services, please have them call us at: 972-437-9950 for intake.
