17th Annual Cinema Touching Disability Film Festival will take place VIRTUALLY October 16, 17, and 18

Oct 8 2020

Join us virtually for our 17th annual Cinema Touching Disability Film Fest!

October 16 - 18, 2020

The Coalition of Texans with Disabilities is proud to announce that our 17th Annual Cinema Touching Disability Film Festival will take place VIRTUALLY October 16, 17, and 18. We had really hoped that we would be at the Alamo Drafthouse for an in-person event this year, but we're not confident that we can do so safely. We still love our Drafthouse friends, and are planning a return in 2021!

But let's not get ahead of ourselves, there's still plenty of great disability cinema in store this year!

Our Short Film Competition drew over 150 entries from 28 countries this year. The winners of the documentary division will be shown on Friday the 16th, while winners of the non-documentary division will be featured on Sunday the 18th. As always, attendees will have a chance to vote for the coveted Audience Favorite!

Saturday’s event will feature films on the little-known Invalid Corps, a squad of veterans with amputations and other disabilities that played a key role in the Civil War.

Stick around after the screenings for filmmaker Q&As all three nights!

Register—for free!—below to get access to Cinema Touching Disability screenings and filmmaker Q&As on any or all three days of this year's Festival! Your registration includes access to all films through October the 25th, one week after Festival events conclude.
