REACH Inc. Secures Grant to Expand Home Modifications That Support Aging in Place and Independent Living

Fort Worth, Texas – REACH Inc., a trusted nonprofit serving North Texas since 1987, has received new grant funding to expand its long-standing home modification program. The initiative helps aging adults and individuals with disabilities remain safely and independently in their homes by providing critical renovations at no cost to those who qualify.

“For more than 35 years, we’ve been delivering practical, effective solutions that allow people to stay in their homes longer, live safely, and retain their independence,” said Jennifer Stonemeier, Executive Director of REACH Inc. “This funding strengthens our ability to serve the growing needs of homeowners who may otherwise struggle to access the modifications that help them age in place with dignity.”

The grant will support a broad range of home improvements, including:

  • Installation of ramps and handrails

  • Widened doorways to accommodate mobility devices

  • Bathroom upgrades like roll-in showers and grab bars

  • Enhanced lighting and safety features to reduce fall risks

  • Individualized modifications tailored to daily living needs

These updates help reduce reliance on institutional care and offer a sustainable, community-based solution for older adults and residents with aging-related needs.

REACH Inc. has been a leader in North Texas for decades, connecting individuals to resources and delivering real-world results that improve safety and independence at home.
