- Independent living skills training on such topics as basic cooking, time management, budgeting/money management, assertiveness, and basic computer skills
- Technical assistance and training in complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
- Social/recreational activities
- Loan assistive technology/equipment such as manual and electric wheelchairs.
- Training to become a peer counselor
- Project Ramp - ramps are built at the homes of low income people with mobility impairments.
- Adjustment to Disability group counseling sessions
- Weekly peer support group
- Home by Choice - nursing home to community living relocation assistance
- Community living relocation assistance
- Outreach to youth with disabilities

STAFF ROSTER
Charlotte A. Stewart - Executive Director: Responsible for the overall administration of the REACH organization, including its four projects, the REACH Resource Centers on Independent Living in Fort Worth, Dallas and Denton and Plano.
Robin Lassiter - Assistant Director: Responsible for the day-to-day management of the REACH of Fort Worth center as well as the bookkeeping tasks for the REACH organization and all of its projects.
Miaka Palmer - Independent Living Specialist: Responsible for providing independent living skills training and peer counseling services to consumers, coordination of the weekly adjustment to disability training and social/recreational support groups, and implementation of the center's outreach campaign to provide needed services to youth with disabilities.
Amira Z. Salas - Outreach, Advocacy & ADA Specialist: To assist consumers with their individual advocacy efforts, conduct systems advocacy, provide ADA technical assistance, conduct outreach activities, coordinate Project Ramp and the loaner equipment programs, and maintain consumer service records and access database.
Karen Williams - Community Living Specialist: To assist interested consumers currently living in nursing homes prepare for and move into community living and coordinate the center's once a month supplemental food bank program for eligible consumers.
