REACH of Fort Worth
We offer the following services:
- Technical assistance and training in complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
- Advocacy assistance and training
- Loaner adaptive equipment such as manual and electric wheelchairs.
- A library of information on disability-related topics
- Skills training on such topics as basic cooking, time management, budgeting/money management, assertiveness, and basic computer skills
- Peer counseling on living with a disability
- Training to become a peer counselor
- Social/recreational activities
- Project Ramp - ramps are built at the homes of low income people with mobility impairments.
- The Pharmaceutical Assistance Program - help in getting prescriptions filled for low income people with disabilities.
- Adjustment to Disability group counseling sessions

STAFF ROSTER
Charlotte A. Stewart - Executive Director: Responsible for the overall administration of the REACH organization, including its 3 projects, the REACH
Resource Centers on Independent Living in Fort Worth, Dallas and Denton.
Robin Lassiter - Assistant Director: Responsible for the day-to-day management of the REACH/Fort Worth Center as well as bookkeeping tasks for all
REACH programs.
Amira Salas - Outreach, Advocacy & ADA Specialist: Responsible for outreach to consumers and the community, information and referral, individual and
systems advocacy, ADA technical assistance and Project Ramp.
Karen Williams - Community Living Specialist: Responsible for coordinating individual and group peer counseling services, independent living skills, training sessions on such topics as self esteem, personal safety, goal setting and money management. Also assisting consumers living in institutions with the move to community living.
Anne Ancy - Information and Referral Coordinator: Responsible for handling information and referral inquiries, maintaining the in-house
resource library, coordinating the Adjustment to Disability group counseling sessions and the pharmaceutical prescription program.
