We offer the following services:
- Technical assistance and training in complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
- Advocacy assistance and training
- Employer education and support in the areas of disability awareness, sensitivity training and technical assistance on accommodating employees with disabilities, also a resource for qualified job applicants
- Advice and training on the removal of architectural and attitudinal barriers that people with disabilities encounter
- Loaner adaptive equipment such as wheelchairs and aids and devices for people who are deaf-blind
- A library of information on disability-related topics
- Skills training on such topics as basic cooking, time management, budgeting, assertiveness, basic wheelchair maintenance and repair, and attendant management
- Peer counseling on living with a disability
- Training to become a peer counselor
- Employment Assistance, including job quest training, job development & placement help, a computer lab with internet access, and a professional clothing closet for interview and/or work clothes.
- Adjustment to Disability group counseling sessions

STAFF ROSTER
Charlotte A. Stewart - Executive Director: Responsible for the overall administration of the REACH organization, including its three projects, the REACH Resource Centers on Independent Living in Fort Worth, Dallas and Denton.
Susan Reukema - Assistant Director/Relocation Specialist: Responsible for the day-to-day management of the REACH of Dallas center and coordination of the Home By Choice program that assists people with disabilities living in nursing homes plan for and move into community living.
Julie Espinoza - PR/IL Skills Training Specialist: Responsible for providing peer counseling services and independent living skills training sessions.Also coordinates the Adjustment to Disability group counseling sessions.
Laurie Truesdell - Outreach/Advocacy/ADA Specialist: Responsible for conducting outreach to underserved/unserved populations, networking with other orgainzations, handling individual and systems advocacy issues, monitoring disability legislation, and providing ADA technical assistance.
Kiowanda Jasso - Information & Referral Specialist/Receptionist: Responsible for handling information and referral requests, answering the telephone, filing, records management, and other clerical duties. Also coordinator loaner equipment program.
Kevan Johnson - Employment Specialist/Consultant: Responsible for providing employment assistance including job quest training, job search assistance, job development activities and placement assistance.
Paula Margeson - Community Relations Coordinator: Responsible for funding research and grant writing tasks and coordinating youth outreach efforts and service devlivery.
James Moore - Office Clerk: Job duties include answering the telephone, handling information & referral requests, greeting guests, handling miscellaneous clerical tasks, and coordinating the center’s professional clothing closet.
