About Us
Emphasizing Abilities, Not Disabilities!
REACH Inc is a nonprofit organization with the goal of advocating for and empowering people with disabilities to take charge of their lives and participate actively in community life. REACH stands for Rehabilitation, Education, and Advocacy for Citizens with Handicaps.
In order to accomplish this mission, REACH operates the REACH Resource Centers on Independent Living in Fort Worth, Dallas, and Denton.
The Centers are non-residential resource agencies which provide services for people with disabilities and education to the community on disability related topics.
The Centers are governed and staffed by a majority of people with disabilities who bring a wide range of knowledge and experience to their work in assisting other people with disabilities.
The Centers are funded by federal and state grants, contributions from foundations and corporations, and individual donors.
