PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
- 10,304 requests for information & referral were handled
- 1,651 hours were spent conducting outreach and community education
- 926 consumers were assisted in meeting their independent living goals
- 31 nursing home residents were assisted in moving into their community
- 12 consumers were assisted in finding jobs
- Consumers participated in 828 independent living skills training sessions
- 993 instances of peer support/peer counseling were provided to consumers
- 92 consumers participated in adjustment to disability training sessions
- Consumers participated in 275 social/recreational activities
- Consumers borrowed 284 assistive technology devices/equipment
- 93 hours were spent providing Americans with Disabilities Act training & technical assistance to businesses
- 67 ramps were built at the homes of individuals with mobility impairments
- 910 instances of advocacy assistance was provided to consumers
REACH, Inc. received $728,495 or 58% of its operating budget from the U.S. Department of Education and $535,759 or 42% from the Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services.
